ICCHP 2016 will take place at
Johannes Kepler University Linz, Altenbergerstrasse 69, 4040 Linz, Austria

A port city on the river Danube, the third largest city in Austria, historically a town with commercial and military significance for the Czech lands, which were connected to Linz by the oldest horse railway in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. Its visitors can enjoy much more than the famous Linzer Torte. It has developed from a bleak industrial centre, which was in the 1930s supposed to become the urbanistic model of the German Empire, into a delightful place where the historic meets the modern. In 2009, Linz became the European Capital of Culture. The visitors can relax in the quiet green zones and the city not only hosts a variety of theatre performances and musical events, but is also a centre of contemporary art, history and science. Among the greenest places in the city is the campus of Johannes Kepler University, which was founded in 1966 and hence is one of the youngest universities in Austria. It is a very dynamic university, and its “Integriert Studieren” institute, a partner of Masaryk University’s Teiresias Centre and co-organizer of the conference, is one of the most important European institutions providing the inclusion of university students with disabilities, especially the visually impaired.
