The 5th Universal Learning Design conference will take place in Linz, Austria, on July 13–15, 2016. It will be hosted by the Johannes Kepler University as part of the largest European forum for presenting assistive technology – the Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs (ICCHP), now in its 15th event.
Once again, representatives of educational institutions and service centres as well as developers of technological solutions for persons with special needs can meet and share their experience.
The preceding events of the conference Universal Learning Design in Brno and its inclusion into the last ICCHP conference in Linz successfully brought attention of researchers and developers of technologies providing for people’s special needs towards inclusive education. Hence, the cooperation between the ULD conference and the ICCHP continued on the occasion of the 14th ICCHP in Paris on 9–11 July 2014.
The 3rd Universal Learning Design conference was held on 11–15 February 2013. After being organised as a special track of the ICCHP in 2012 it returned to Brno again as an own conference divided into four topical sections going on in two parallel presentation halls.
