The Universal Learning Design International Conference 2011, held on 8–11 February 2011 in Brno to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Teiresias Centre at Masaryk University, provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the universal accessibility of tertiary education and to share experience with professionals who take care of the practical matters and thus technologically, organizationally, legally, linguistically, psychologically or pedagogically provide for the universal learning design at the university level in Europe as well as other parts of the world. Masaryk University is ready to follow up the first year of the conference and to organize other events of this type in the following years.
The next year of the conference Universal Learning Design will be held on 11-13 July 2012, as a part of the 13th ICCHP conference (International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs) as one of its special tracks. The team from Masaryk University will be responsible for technical solutions and organization of the ULD 2012 conference at Johannes Kepler University Linz in Austria.
On occasion of the 10th anniversary of Support Centre for Students with Special Needs at Masaryk University was established, the first year of International Conference Universal Learning Design was held at 8–11 Feb 2011 in Brno, Czech Republic. The programme of four topical sections, names of keynote speakers and other information are still available.
